Support Worker
Could you support someone to live more independently and do the things they enjoy? We are looking for hard-working caring people to join our team.
About the role:
The focus of this role is to help the people we support to develop independent living skills: improve their personal hygiene, assist with meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities and socialising – the daily routine of regular life.
Our approach to support work means the people we are supporting can remain living independently in the home they love and feel most comfortable, surrounded by memories and treasured possessions.
The people we support at this service are friendly and bubbly and like to access activities and enjoy being out in the community. Sometimes communication can be challenging, so good someone who is patient and a good listener is a must.
Hours:
Hours – 34 hours per week.
A variety of shift patterns available.
Location:
This service is located in Neston, Cheshire.
About you:
We’re not looking for any kind of specific experience. It is your personality and values that will make you a good fit for the role and our organisation. We will train and develop you to become a great support worker if you:
- Have genuine empathy for the people we support, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through difficult times.
- Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
- Have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
