New Experts by Experience contract

We have been successful in winning a new three- year Care Quality Commission Experts by Experience Contract which will begin on 1 April 2026.
We were first awarded an Expert by Experience contract with the Care Quality Commission in April 2011. Since then, we have achieved a continuous 15‑year-record of success, securing every Expert by Experience tender we have submitted.
Kim Arnold, National Lead at Choice Support, said:

“This achievement reflects our continued commitment to amplifying the voices of people with lived experience and ensuring they play a central role in shaping high quality care.
“We look forward to supporting CQC in strengthening insight, improving services, and driving meaningful change across health and social care.”
Today on the CQC website, Chris Day, Director of Engagement, said:
“We know how invaluable it is to hear, and act on, the voices of people who use services. This work underlines our continued commitment to ensuring the lived experience of people impacts on all aspects of our regulatory activity, driving change for people who use services and directly addressing inequalities. I am delighted that we will be working with Choice Support.”

An Expert by Experience is someone who has lived experience of using health and/or social care in the past eight years.
