Team Leader
About the Role
We are looking to recruit an innovative and forward-thinking Team Leader to work in one of our complex care services, in Tenterden for a fixed term period of 3 months.
As a Team Leader, you will provide strong leadership and management to teams of Support Workers, ensuring the support delivered is consistently high quality. You will work closely with the Service Coordinator to carry out all aspects of team management.
The role involves liaising confidently with multidisciplinary teams of professionals and ensuring thorough record keeping and incident reporting. While this is primarily a leadership role, you will occasionally provide hands-on support when required.
You will support individuals to be as independent as possible, ensuring they are at the heart of all decision-making. We work in a person-centred and creative way to enable people to live the life they choose.

Full-time – 39 hours per week
About You
You will have experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, ideally within a complex care setting. Experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviour and using PBS plans is desirable.
You will be able to demonstrate practice experience in the following areas:
- Strong knowledge of autism and learning disabilities
- Experience managing complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Skilled in managing flexible staff rotas
- Confident in promoting community inclusion
- Committed to supporting staff development and sharing knowledge
- IT literate with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in working with key stakeholders, including Social Workers, Commissioners, families, specialist teams and health professionals
- Able to demonstrate sensitivity, diplomacy and resilience when working with individuals and their families
- Skilled in developing and delivering flexible, personalised support
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of current CQC legislation relating to personal care regulated activity
You will also need to be a driver and confident using moving and handling equipment.
