Support Worker

About the role:
We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude towards supporting people with learning disabilities, who will uphold their rights and support them to grow their independence. This is an exciting role and would benefit someone who can think outside of the box and be creative.
We support people in a wide variety of supported living services throughout Southwark (and beyond). The majority of services provide support 24 hours per day, with sleep in support during the night. We help the people we support to be a part of their local community and to pursue their interests and goals, to create opportunities for finding happiness.
The people we support have a primary diagnosis of a learning disability. Some may have autism and/or mental health needs; some may require moving and handling processes and some may display some challenging behaviours. Personal care support is required for this role.
We will provide full support and training face to face and online with an experienced member of the team to support you in your new role.
Hours:
We have full time and part time positions available with a wide variety of shift and hours available.
Location:
We have 4 services across Southwark with vacancies. Each are located near public transport links.
About you:
The right person will be required to have basic skills using Microsoft 365/ Teams and other programmes. They will possess or be willing to learn a working knowledge of the various legislation which incudes, but not limited to: Health and Safety, MCA, Health & Social Care Act, CQC standards and The Care Act. They will possess or be willing to work towards Diploma Level 2 qualification.
