Support Worker
About the role:
We are looking for a female Support Worker to join our team in Bethersden, supporting one female who lives independently in her own home.
Due to the personal care needs of the person we support and the 1:1 support during the night, this position is only open to female applicants in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
This role is essential in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the person we support. You will be responsible for monitoring their needs, offering reassurance, and providing care and support as required. Maintaining a calm and supportive presence, you will help create a peaceful environment where individuals feel secure and respected.
We will train you to provide personalised support and follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of the person you are supporting. You will be promoting independence and allowing the person to exert choice and control over the way their support is delivered.
Hours:
27 hours per week. There is the current requirement for working a number of waking night shifts, however, we’re looking for someone who can be flexible and step in for other shifts when the service needs you.
Location:
Bethersden, Ashford.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be caring, attentive, and able to stay alert and responsive throughout the shift. While previous experience in a care or support role is an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided. More important is a genuine passion for supporting others, good communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life by ensuring they feel safe and cared for during the night.
