Assistant Team Leader
About the role:
A new opportunity has arisen to become part of the Mental Health Accommodation Services in Nottingham as the Assistant Team Leader. The service is located close to Nottingham city centre and is made up of 13 self-contained flats. We offer daily support to people with mental health conditions who may also have other needs for which we provide support - alcohol and drug misuse, mild learning disabilities and ASD.
As Assistant Team Leader you would be responsible for the day to day running of the service, assisting the Service Manager with assessments of new referrals, support planning, setting up benefit claims / assisting with paying their utilities on time so the applicant would need an understanding of effective budgeting and management skills. This role also includes the requirement for the successful applicant to undertake on-call duties.
In a Assistant Team Leader capacity, you would be required to work on a shift basis, including weekends and waking nights and sleep ins when required.
Hours:
Full time, 39 hours per week.
Rolling rotas on a 3-weekly basis.

Nottingham (NG7 7)
About you:
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care (or willing to work towards).
Experience working in supported living or community mental health settings. Knowledge of positive behavioural support (PBS), trauma-informed practice, or psychosocial models of care.
You will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the values and principles of choice support and show commitment to supporting people to achieve their aspirations and improve wellbeing.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Working within a social care setting
- Ability to create rosters / allocations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT Skills and ability to use Microsoft Office/Teams
- Ability to use Assistive technology
- Working with individuals who require Positive behaviour support
- Ability to support and supervise others
- Managing coaching skills
- Understanding effective budget management
- Empathic attitude with the ability to mediate and support individuals
